Having recently opened their first location, Grasshopper Club approached AV Social in late 2023 to craft an organic growth strategy for their dispensary in Logan Square, Chicago.
Grasshopper Club’s Website Was:
1. Powered by Blaze Ecom with a basic, embedded menu that lacked seo-friendly features and a consistent user experience.
2. Not Indexable for products and categories resulting in the dispensary not showing up for product or brand related searches.
3. Difficult to find products, specific collections, and the entire dispensary on Google Maps, Apple Maps and other directories.
Grasshopper Club had a successful launch, but needed a marketing technology partner to help push the momentum further as the dispensary faced steep competition in the Chicago market.

Outcomes & Results
Within 3 months, Grasshopper Club opened a 2nd store & more than doubled site traffic from 2k monthly visits to 5k monthly visits.
Having left them in good hands at the end of 2023, Grasshopper paused services only to rehire us 3 months later after a botched e-commerce upgrade that erased Grasshopper’s progress back to 0.
Requiring an even more aggressive plan to rebound, we fixed Grasshopper’s e-commerce setup again plus several issues with their DNS, web configuration, and duplicate content websites.
1. Keywords Rankings Climbed:
From only a few keywords ranking, to over 750+ product related searches, with 120+ keywords in the Top 3 positions or SERPs. Although the site lost progress, it has started bouncing back and regaining lost rankings for hundreds of keywords.
2. Traffic Increased:
From 2k monthly visits to 5k, down to 0, and trending back to 8,000 monthly visits. While the site has been on wild a roller coaster, it came back stronger with a foundation that can now be scaled efficiently with less volatility.
